Business games are an ideal teaching method. They combine fun and excitement with an opportunity to experience actively the planning and decision making that are the essential elements of business. With them, business comes alive in a way that talking about it cannot match.

These games were written specially for schools. They are all easy to play and run. Both Cool Cakes and Wicked Bikkies are aimed at helping students to understand how a business works, and are suitable for students from year ten onwards. Cool Cakes can be played in approximately 30 minutes while Wiked Bikkies takes 60-70 minutes. It should be recognised though that pupils sometimes play the games quite efficiently without getting the point of them. An important part is the period of evaluation at the end and teachers are urged to leave plenty of time for it however tempting it may be to continue playing out of sheer enjoyment.
